So I had a children's photo session coming up this past weekend and I was pondering as to what type of theme we should try. I love outdoor photography, as anyone who follows my blog can tell you. I found a large teacup planter and it hit me. Garden Tea Party! I phoned the mother with my idea for her girls session and it was a home run. I mean really what lil girl wouldn't want to have a tea party outdoors?
I also got lucky as my hometown was having city wide garage sales this weekend and boy did I find some treasures. Some of which played a vital role in this session. A beautiful old wicker chair and man is it heavy! I also found an old functional steamer trunk. And yes it is going to be featured in an upcoming photo session. So stayed tuned........
Well what do you do when you have some time on your books and no one to photograph? Well if you are me, that time is commonly know as DRESS UP TIME for me and my girls. They love getting all dressed up and getting their hair done, because they know afterwards they get to have their photo taken. And boy did we have a great time the other day.
I had a few ideas for portrait shoots and I involved my "Models" to help pan out all the details. My youngest served as my Surfer Girl and my oldest daughter gave Alice In Wonderland a run for her money. I had such a great day with my girls, which in this busy household doesn't happen nearly as often as I would like. So you see even I get caught up in the hustle and bustle of day to day life and miss some of those fleeting moments I wish would last forever.
Well I have had some extra time on my hands recently, so as a result of said idleness Spring Floral Note and Greeting Cards will be available for purchase. I haven't decided if I will sell them in groups of four or individualy or both as of the moment. But I will get that figured out here shortly. Along with prices and such.

Well the snow has finally melted the the flowers abound. I, for one, am so glad of it too! So many colors and hues...the hard part is choosing what to shoot. My husband being the dear he is, brought me home a bouquet of fresh Spring flowers. They just screamed "Photo Op". So you all know me....just can not pass up an opportunity to take my camera out and start snapping. I must say the flowers acted a bit like a Diva but hey when they look that good..what can you do?
Well as most of you all know I live in Minnesota, which currently is experiancing it's spring thaw. Which in turn translate into flooding rivers, streams, and creeks. I am planning a trip this evening to go and capture some of these natural wonders on film for you all to see. I took a scouting trip night before last and saw the most beautiful sunset reflection shots. Hard to believe that in all this flooding that such beauty can be found. I hope to have them posted very soon for you all to gaze and comment upon. Teresa

For years now I have yakked my friends and families ears off about weither or not I should enter into the world of Photography. I would love to say it was an easy decision......but following ones' passions and dreams can be a very scary but exhiliarating journey. So here I am finally taking the leap into the unknown and I have no doubt it will be a very exciting jump.
